Society & Discrimination.

  • I live in a society. The norms, values, and understanding are different and weird!

HEY THERE!
This is 2020. The year of technology and skyrocketing development activities. I am here in south-east Asia in a developing country where education is not the first priority to the government. The people are deeply rooted in superstitious beliefs. My goal is also to work on this and swipe away the root of this kind of beliefs from society.

Today I have a story of my society. Normally, I don't hang out with my neighbor because I am away from the house for my study. I live 93 KM away from my home. Due to holidays and lockdown due to coronavirus attack, I am here at home. I have been observing my house, my neighbor and my area. The place is beautiful. Today is a new year. 2077 B.S. started from today. On this auspicious occasion. One of my neighbours near my house conducted "pooja". Yes. They worship God and prepare many religious food and celebrate together with relatives and neighbors. Few of the nearer house were invited. We are invited too. But, I came to find out the house near to my house is not invited. I was kind of surprise why did they do so because they always hang out together. They gossip and spend most of the time together. But, during an occasion like 'pooja', they are not invited. My mom told me that it is because they belong to a low caste family.
Wait, What?
yes, caste discrimination still exists in our society. Apart from occasion, they hang out like best friends literally the closest friend.  I went and asked why they are not leaving all those superstitious beliefs and move forward positively setting and example. But, They answer as if they get affected if they are invited in the pooja. They have a feeling that God might get sad as they are untouchable. They show unhealthy behavior and mention it is their choice to whoever they invite. I was kind of a shock to see all these because I hate this. I absolutely hate this.

The superstitious belief has driven so many old generation thought. They still maintain inequality in society unknowingly. I have a strong will to change this belief as growing up. The blood and flesh of every human being are the same. They are not meant to discriminate in terms of caste, religion, and color. If one person can perform 100 tasks, 2 people can surely double the performance and can increase the positive impact in society. The new face of society and new change can only be seen if we stand out to bring change from within and step forward to demolish all the superstitious belief that is ruining the society.

I came to know they are sent prepared food to have in-home and even invited to have food on the home but are not allowed to go inside the area where the occasion is being conducted. While people are slowly adopting the change still it is not enough because the children around are learning the same. Once we come out from this thought and belief. It is sure we will live in a more peaceful, energize, and involving environment. The society will grow up exponentially in a positive way. Children will learn the valuable lesson that they should respect every individual and should never discriminate against the people around them. They can solve more problems than working single.
If we shape the thought of upcoming generations we will surely make a world a better place to live and pass it to new-new generations even a beautiful society.

I am urging and working behind it. I want you to join and make the world a better place.
I  PRACTICE EQUALITY.
do you?
